'Notes on Memory and Desire' is a short and enigmatic text that Bion published in 1967. This text, little-known at the time it was published, is recognized today as a landmark contributor to the history of psychoanalytic thought.

In our seminar we will revisit this text and explore additional texts that attempted to understand it and elaborate upon it by use of parallel ideas from complementary streams of thought, by which we shall investigate post-modern themes in contemporary psychoanalysis.
