D:\Inetpub\shared\yedion\syllabus\06\2016\0669\0669611801_desc.txt סילבוס מקוצר המעבדה לזהות ופעילות סביבתית-חברתית (http://www.tau.ac.il/tarbut/Maabadat-Sebiba/index.html) היא מסגרת של קבוצות לימוד ומחקר לתלמידיםה תארים המתקדמים, המעוניינים במחקר הקשר שבין זהות והנעה לפעולה סביבתית, והזיקה בין זהות ופעילות חברתית בכלל. על רקע ההתפתחות הענפה של לימודי הסביבה בעשורים האחרונים, גוברת בעולם ההכרה בחשיבות הממד החברתי ושאלת הכשירות התרבותית של הקהילות השונות כבסיס להבנת ההצלחה או הכישלון של התנועה הסביבתית כגורם לשינוי. המעבדה לזהות ופעילות סביבתית נועדה לענות על הצורך בפיתוח המחקר האיכותני בלימודי הסביבה. היא יוצאת מהגישה התרבותית במחקר התנועות החברתיות, ומספקת לסטודנטים כלים תיאורטיים ומתודולוגיים למחקר תפוצת הסביבתיות כצורת חיים, בנושאים כגון אוריינות וזהות סביבתית, קבוצות אקטיביסטים כקהילות פרקטיקה, הזיקות בין מדיניות ותכנון לבין תהליכים בשטח (grassroots); תפיסת התפקיד ומסלולי הפעולה של מתווכי הידע – מחנכים, פעילים, מדריכים -- ויחסי קהילה-מקצוענים, והיסטוריה סביבתית של אזורים ספציפיים. מסגרת המעבדה כוללת סמינר מחקרי, שבמהלכו מפתחים התלמידים פרויקטים אישיים לתזות לתואר השני או השלישי, ומקיימים במפגשים סדירים של קריאה ודיון המלווים את גיבוש הפרויקטים. העבודה מוקדשת הן לדיון תיאורטי והן לתרגול של עבודה באמצעות ראיונות, איסוף והכנה של חומר למחקר, תמלול הקלטות והכנת המסמכים הנלווים, ודרכי ניתוח של העדויות. ההשתתפות בקורס היא בתיאום עם המרצה. חובת התלמיד: השתתפות שוטפת בכל משימות הסמינר ומטלותיו. קבלת ציון מחייבת הגשת עבודה מסכמת. Course description The Identity & Environmental Action Lab (http://www.tau.ac.il/tarbut/Maabadat-Sebiba/index.html) provide a learning and research framework for graduate students who wish to pursue studies concerning the link between identity and social action, and environmental action in particular, as MA or PhD dissertations. While Environmental discourse rapidly evolves, it has eventually been recognized that so far, the Environmental movement has failed to bring on a change. To explain this failure, attention is growingly drawn to social factors and questions of cultural competence as crucial dimensions in the reception or rejection of the Environmental agenda. The Identity & Environmental Action Lab addresses the need of developing qualitative research within the field of Environmental Studies. Proceeding from ‘practice theories’ and the cultural approach to the study of social movements, it provides theoretical and methodological tools to explore such topics as the spread of environmental habitus, environmental literacy, activism and local communities, the interplay between policy making and grassroots processes, the role perception of environmental mediators, and aspects of local environmental histories. The Lab framework includes a research seminar, where students’ projects are developed and discussed. The seminar meetings are dedicated to discussions of theoretical and research literature, as well as to practicing working with interviews, transcribing and preparing the research materials, and using an elaborate method of discourse analysis.
