החלק התיאורטי: סקירת מאפייניה העיקריים של הספרות הערבית-יהודית ולשונה.לצד הדיון התיאורטי ייקראו וינותחו טקסטים בערבית-יהודית, למשל כתבי רב סעדיה גאון (המאה ה-10). זאת לצד הקניית כלים בסיסיים לסטודנט בבואו לעסוק בתחום זה, כגון השימוש ב"מילון לטקסטים ערביים-יהודיים מימי הביניים".
Course description
The theoretical part: Survey of the basic characteristics of the Judaeo-Arabic literature & language.
The practical part: Reading & analyzing texts in Judaeo-Arabic That reflect those characteristics, for example the works of Rav Saadiah Gaon (10th Century).In addition, this course will provide the student with the essential tools needed for accurate reading and comprehension, for instance using a dictionary for texts written in Judaeo-Arabic.
