In the framework of the course we will examine diverse sources in order to discuss the linguistic map of the Jewish Yishuv in Erezt-Israel and to explore the extent of the totality of the "Hebraization" project On the basis of a variety of sources we will ask to what extent the "Hebraization" project, considered justly as an unprecedented achievement of the Zionist movement, was realized in the private and the public spheres.

Discussions will be based on various data and evidences: journals, memoires, biographies and autobiographies, private letters, position papers, private and public documents, books lending, statistics and surveys, archival material, newspaper articles and ads, and in depth interviews, conducted with people who grew up in the Yishuv and during the first decades of the State of Israel.
