Course description
Jews and Conversos in Medieval Spain and the Renaissance
The modern Inquisition was active in a large area extending from Italy to the Philipines. It was active against various groups. But at its origins it aimed to persecute the converts from Judaism and at times the Jews. The course will examine its history in as far as it impinges on Jewish and judaizers’ history.
