התרגיל הצמוד לקורס הדיגטלי של "קורסרה" – The Fall and Rise of Jerusalem יכלול העמקה בטקסטים קדומים – מקראיים, בבליים ואחרים, דיון בחומר הארכיאולוגי, ובחינה של סוגיות מחקריות שנוגעות לשלהי ימי ממלכת יהודה ולתקופת שלטון בבל ביהודה. במקביל להרצאות בקורס הדיגיטלי נבחן את חומרי הגלם לשחזור היסטורי ונקרא את הטקסטים שעל בסיסם משחזרים חוקרים את ההיסטוריה הקדומה.Course description
This is a reading-course that will be given in parallel with the on-line MOOK coursera course: "The Fall and Rise of Jerusalem". During the classes in this course we will read the ancient texts – from Biblical, Babylonian and other sources, we will examine the archaeological material and will check the scholarly opinions that were based on these materials. Side by side with the on-line lectures, we will examine how scholars are reconstructing the ancient history and the different methodologies they are using.
