Intellectual property and the challenges of innovation

Technology is constantly changing. It does not stop providing new developments and introducing new technologies. Intellectual property laws are often in a state of response that usually does not occur in real time, a delayed response of sorts. The course explores the challenges faced by intellectual property laws in light of the technological developments of recent decades: In this context, we will examine a variety of developments in various fields such as: Three-dimentional Prinitng; Genetics; Nanotechnology; Trade Secrets in the age of information sharing; iInternet broadcasting from space; Privacy and cyber security; Robotics and artificial intelligence , Internet of things, and Blockchain challenges. In this course we shed ligh on these topics and we examine the nature of the challenges and consider possible solutions to those challenges on the legislative-regulatory level.
