Short Course Description

Today, to read and discuss a paper in environmental studies basic data analysis skills and statistical understanding are required. This course was designed, to give fundamental tools in statistics and data analysis, for curious students that come from non-scientific background and has minimal quantitative background. The aim of the course is to enable the students to understand better state of the art research papers in the field of live sciences, in particular in environmental sciences and enable them to conduct their own research in the future.
The lectures will give for each topic, the motivation, essence of the mathematical formulation and way for implementing, and examples from environmental papers.
