מעבר משפה מילולית לנוכחות פיזית . זו מלאכת תרגום ופרשנות דרמטורגית ואסתטית לעולם הצורני והרגשי של הסרט.
הליהוק הוא הכנה לאבני הבניין ולתשתית הבימוי והוא חלק משמעותי מהתפיסה האמנותית של הבמאי/ת את העולם של הסרט.
הקורס יונחה דרך מתודה המבוססת על ארבעה מוקדים מרכזיים של תהליך ליהוק סרט ותחדד את הקשר הדינאמי בין תסריט- ליהוק ובימוי וזאת באמצעות מספר נושאים.

Casting is the process that creates the bricks and the foundations to the directing process and it is a fundamental part of it.
