נגינת תרגילים וקטעי פרטיטורות תזמורתיות עם כלים הדורשים טרנספוזיציה.

The course addresses fundamentals of score reading, by playing exercises in various C-clefs (soprano, alt, tenor), and exercises in the common transpositions used in symphonic scores. In a more advance stage, the course will train score reading at the piano and preparing piano arrangements of selected passages. The score and the piano arrangement will be analyzed and compares.

Expected learning outcomes

Musicology students will acquire essential knowledge of standard score notation (including common clefs and transpositions) and will develop basic skills in score reading at the piano and preparation of piano arrangements from scores.
