הרפרטואר לכל תלמידי הניצוח - החל מהשנה הראשונה לתואר ראשון (ארבע שנים) ועד לסיום התואר השני (שנתיים) כולל את מיטב היצירות הסימפוניות החל מהתקופה הקלאסית, דרך התקופה הרומנטית, האימפרסיוניזם הצרפתי ועד למוסיקה המודרנית של המאה ה-20 וה-21. (פרטים בסילבוס המורחב).
The aim of the course is to shape and develop advanced conducting skills of orchestral conducting graduate students. The course is designed for advanced conducting students, who have completed their basic training in conducting and studied advance classes in harmony, counterpoint, ear-training and analysis. The course is held in small groups (up to 4 students) yet each student receives a full weekly hour similar to individual instruction in other performance fields. The course is facilitated with a high level professional piano duo simulating a full symphony orchestra. Students will have the opportunity to conduct the BMSM orchestra several times a year in rehearsals and performances and take part in the preparation process of the school's contemporary music ensemble. All advanced conducting students are required to have wide knowledge and understanding of the symphonic repertoire, communication personality of expressing the music they conduct, good hearing and sufficient conducting technique

מטרת ודרישת הקורס
לבסס ולשפר כישורי ניצוח לתלמידים במסלול ניצוח תזמורתי.
כל תלמידי הניצוח נדרשים לפתח מיומנויות בהיבטים הבאים: הבנת המוסיקה, סגנון,
טכניקת ניצוח, שמיעה, הבעה תקשורתית ואישיות.
התלמיד נדרש להכין כל שבוע רפרטואר הנקבע על ידי המורה מתחום הרפרטואר התזמורתי.
דרישות הקדם להשתתפות בקורס
למועמד נערכת בחינת כניסה. אם עמד בה, הוא מתקבל לשנת נסיון בה הוא לומד את יסודות הניצוח. בתום השנה הראשונה-ובמידה והתלמיד החלטי בכוונותיו להפוך למנצח מקצועי, נערכת לו בחינה בה נקבע אם ישאר בביה״ס כתלמיד ניצוח מן המניין.

Course description
The aim of the course is to shape and develop advanced conducting skills of orchestral conducting graduate students. The course is designed for advanced conducting students, who have completed their basic training in conducting and studied advance classes in harmony, counterpoint, ear-training and analysis. Course requirements
Students are required to prepare every week one of the works from the annual repertoire list, received at the beginning of the year; to conduct the work in the class and to be able to analyze the work structurally, harmonically and historically.

Expected learning Outcomes
Students are expected to develop high-level conducting skills and advanced interpretive abilities based on an in-depth study of an orchestral score. They are expected to be able to prepare extensive scope of repertoire in a relatively short time and be able to conduct it with physical, secure and artistic conviction. Students are also expected to prove an effective rehearsal technique and be able to lead rehearsal sessions and performances with the BMSM orchestra and ensembles.
