תיאור הקורס

מטרת הקורס להעניק לסטודנטים את המיומנויות הנדרשות להתמודדות עם בחינות לתזמורות מקצועיות: הכרת רפרטואר, שיטות עבודה ודרכי אימון יעילות. הקורס יכלול הדרכה והדגמה ע"י המרצה, לצד ביצוע ע"י כל משתתפי הקורס וקבלת משוב מקצועי.

דרישות הקורס

• נוכחות מלאה בשיעורים
• השתתפות פעילה: ביצוע תרגילים וקטעי תזמורת (הכנה מראש), בקבוצה ו/או כיחיד
• בחינה מעשית מסכמת

% 50 בחינה מעשית (אודיציה) מסכמת

% 50 השתתפות פעילה בשיעורים

מפגשי הקורס יכללו לחילופין:

• הדגמות ביצוע והדרכה לדרכי הכנה ותרגול של היצירות/הקטעים ע"י המרצה
• מפגשי אודיציות דמה, בהם יידרשו הסטודנטים לבצע את הקטעים בפני הכיתה

סדר לימוד היצירות יתפרסם במפגש הראשון של הקורס.

עקב אילוצים בלוח החזרות של התזמורת הפילהרמונית, צפויים מספר מפגשים של הקורס להידחות למועד אחר. הודעה על ביטול מפגש וקביעת מועד חלופי תינתן מראש; שיעורי ההחזר יינתנו במפגשים כפולים (שעתיים) במהלך הסמסטר או בחופשת הסמסטר, בתיאום עם הסטודנטים ככל שניתן.

Course requirements

• Full attendance in classes
•  Active participation in class: performance of exercises and orchestral excerpts (prepared in advance) in a group and/or individually
• Final audition

Description of course
The course aims to provide students with the skills required to prepare for professional orchestra auditions: study methods, practice tips and techniques for mastery of audition repertoire and successful presentation. Course sessions will involve live demonstration by the instructor, performance by all participants and professional feedback.
 

Course topics

The course will be conducted in alternating sessions which will include:

• Demonstration and performance of the works/excerpts by the instructor along with recommended practice methods and accompanying exercises
• Mock audition sessions, in which the students will be required to perform the excerpts in front of the class

The order of presentation of the repertoire will be announced in the first class session.

Grading Summary
50% final exam – mock audition

50% active participation in class

Note:

Due to conflicts with the Israel Philharmonic rehearsal schedule, it will be necessary to reschedule some class sessions. Advance notification of class cancellation and rescheduling will be given; make-up classes will be held in double (2-hour) sessions during the semester or in the semester break, and will be coordinated with the students as far as possible.
