דרישות הקורס

הכנת יצירה רב פרקית מלאה. כל הרכב נדרש לקיים חזרות אינטנסיביות בין השעורים המונחים. הרכב שלא ישתתף בכל השיעורים לא יורשה להשתתף בקונצרט הסיום. עבודת כל צמד תתבצע בנפרד ביום קבוע ובשעה קבועה והיא תתבצע לחילופין: בשבוע אחד עבודה עצמאית של הצמד, ובשבוע השני עבודה בהנחיית מדריך חבר סגל. מטלת הסיום הינה ביצוע של יצירה רב פרקית מלאה מן הרפרטואר בקונצרט סיום הקורס.

סילבוס

הקורס הינו קורס סדנאי, המפתח את מיומנויות הנגינה בפסנתר בארבע ידיים או בנגינת שני פסנתרים. כל קבוצה תעבוד בהנחיית מדריך חבר סגל ותידרש לקיים חזרות אינטנסיביות בין השעורים המונחים.

Course description

The course will develop the basic ensemble skills and expertise of playing in four hands or on two pianos for first year piano majors through the interpretation and performance of original repertoire for piano ensemble, notably for piano in four hands or two pianos. The course will be held in a format of a workshop, combining individual instruction and occasional public coaching (in the form of a master class). Each ensemble is required to conduct intensive rehearsals between lessons.

Course requirements

Full attendance and active participation in classes, studying and performing one full work for four hands or two pianos. Each ensemble will be individually coached by a faculty member and will be required to conduct intensive rehearsals between lessons. Participation in the workshop's final concert will be regarded as the final exam.

Course grade

Class participation - 25%,

Home preparation – 25%

Final concert – 50%

Bibliography

A selection of original music for piano in four hands or two pianos will be available to all participants, who will be assigned the relevant works suitable to their individual level and former ensemble experience.

Expected learning outcomes

The students will be introduced to ensemble playing and gain the fundamentals of chamber music skills, which will be further developed over the next years of chamber music studies. The students will increase and expand their ability for active listening, and develop introspective and interpretative tools.
