בקורס זה יידונו אמצעי ההבניה והייצוג של זהות מגדרית בשפה. נבחן סיטואציות חינוכיות וחברתיות שבהן באות לידי ביטוי פרקטיקות מגדריות. נבחן דעות שונות לגבי שפה ומגדר בהקשרים חינוכיים שונים, כגון מגדר בספרי הלימוד, בשיח הכיתתי, בשיח היומיומי, בספרות ילדים ועוד. הקורס יעורר מודעות ויעניק כלים למורות/ים בבחירה של חומרים להוראה, בהכנת השיעורים וביחס אל התלמידות/ים במהלך השיעור. הדיונים בקורס ייגעו בחוויות מחיי היומיום של המשתתפים/ות בו, ויהיו פוריים במיוחד אם ישתתפו בו גברים ונשים כאחד.Course description
In this course we will discuss various way of constructing and representing gender identity in language. We will look at educational and social situations where gender practices are manifested. Different views regarding language and gender in various educational contexts will be explored, such as gender in textbooks, in classroom discourse, in everyday discourse, in children's literature, etc. The course will raise awareness and will provide tools for teachers in their choice of teaching materials, in class preparation, and in their attitudes towards pupils during class. Course discussions will touch upon students' daily experiences and will be particularly enriched, if both men and women enroll.
