Piaget’s theory of cognitive development is the basis of this course, focusing on the reason why certain stages might limit students’ achievements in science education. During the course we will discuss and practice a method aimed at accelerating cognitive development. We will analyze studies showing the importance of such method, based on research performed worldwide and in Israel. Furthermore, intuitive thinking and its relation to science education and cognitive levels will be discussed.
