תשע"ו, 2015-2016

Course Description: The students will read, analyze and summarize the state of the art of a given remote sensing and GIS research area with an extended focus in one of the subjects. There are two main parts of the course: building a theoretical background, writing skills (first semester) and practical, data analyses, results and discussion.

Goals: To review and summarize the state of the art of a selected remote sensing and GIS research area.

Learning outcomes –

On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Search the scientific literature for the main papers of a selected research area
Analyze the current knowledge of this research area
Present a summary of the research area state of the art
Identify open questions related to this area
Describe active research directions

Course/Module Content:
Presentation of the selected remote sensing and GIS research areas
Literature review, preparation of a general scientific background and its presentation
Selection of a specific research question
Scientific papers review and analysis
Presentation of the state of the art of the selected research question
