Chinese Literature in a Global Context

This lecture course looks at common themes in Chinese and other literatures from a comparative perspective. It also considers examples from the manifolded response of writers in modern China to works of foreign literature, along with some of the most interesting refractions of China and Chinese literature in works of prose fiction, poetry and theatre in other languages and cultures
