The course will focus upon the social and literary position of Mizrahi women fiction writers in Israel. Orly Castel-Bloom, Ronit Matalom and Dorit Rabinian write from a position of double minority, being both women and Mizrahi. We will descibe the poetics of each of them separately, and then try to find out the common denominators of their writing, surfacing through the different and unique poetics of each writer.
