נרטיבים של נוודות ופזורה: שיח הנוודות ושיח הפזורה מעמידים אלטרנטיבה למיתוס על אודות התשוקה לישיבת קבע ומאתגרים את מושג הבית. הקורס ידון ברציונליזציות התיאורטיות של הנוודות והפזורה כאופציות קיום, וייבחן יצירות ספרות הנסובות סביב שאלת הקיום הנוודי ו/או הקיום בפזורה. בין השאר נקרא מיצירותיהם של ש״י עגנון, יואל הופמן, רונית מטלון, זבאלד ואחרים.
Course description
Narratives of Nomadism and Diasporism
Nomadic and Diasporic Discourses propose an alternative to the myth of "homesickness" and of the striving for a permanent hold of a place, and subvert the concept of a home and the very possibility of being "at home in the world". The course will examine the theoretical rationalizations of Nomadism and Diasporism as strategies of existence, and will discuss literary works from the point of view of nomadic and diasporic choices. We will read works by S.Y. Agnon, S. Yizhar, Yoel Hoffman, Ronit Matalon, W.G. Sebald and others.
