The seminar examines gender and gender relations in Arab-Palestinian society in Israel, introduces its characteristics, and presents the factors and transformations that influence/d gender and gender relations in several domains on time axis. It demonstrates how these two categories (gender and gender relations) are constructed not only by cultural factors, but also as a result of structural ones, as well as the interrelations between them, in both macro and internal levels. The seminar exposes students to relevant theoretical approaches, analytical tools, and empirical researches in the domains of family, education, employment, politics, communication, citizenship, health, violence, and civic society (NGO's).
