Short Course Description

This course examines the relations between composite materials structure - morphology, typical scale and interface characteristics - and its mechanical, electrical, thermal and optic properties. Characterisation methods of composites and interfaces will be presented, with their capabilities and limitations. Finally, every student will chose a scientific manuscript presenting a composite material, and present it to the class, emphasizing the composite structure and optimization to the presented application.
