[1]    The course is the basic course in the digital image processing. No prior knowledge beyond the basic analysis/algebra is required although some signal processing background might be helpful.

[2]    The course will cover the following topics: Image Enhancement, Image Restoration, Color Image Processing, Wavelets and Multi-resolution Processing, Image Compression, Morphological Image Processing, Image Segmentation, Representation and description, object recognition.

[3]    The final grade is based on the final exam (100% of the grade) .

[4]    The course will follow the textbook by Gonzalez& Woods (Digital Image Processing, 2^nd edition).
