Course description
Atmospheric continuum, fundamental and "apparent" forces; The basic conservation lows: momentum, mass, thermodynamic energy, scalar quantity, moisture / salinity. Spherical coordinates; quasi-Cartesian system, natural coordinates; geographic wind; gradient wind; cyclostrophic wind; inertial wind, isobaric coordinates, thermal wind; vertical motion; circulation and vorticity; the planetary boundary layer.
