Short Course Description

This is course in the International Environmental Studies MA program. Although for international students, Israeli students are welcome.
The course gives a general background on all aspects of the "science" of climate change. What we know from the past, what is happening at present, and what is expected in the future. How different aspects of the climate system (oceans, biosphere, cryosphere, atmosphere) play a role in the Earth's climate, and how they are expected to change due to rising greenhouse gases. What solutions exist to deal with the crisis.
Towards the end of the course students will carry out independent research on a specific topic related to Climate Change, and make both a presentation to the class, and write a report about their research.
