Short Course Description

Course objectives:
Providing basic knowledge of processes and theories in the field of ecology, as an essential background for understanding the biodiversity crisis and other ecological issues in advanced environmental courses.

Course content:
The course focuses on theories and basic concepts in ecology. The course addresses basic concepts in evolution and will introduce ecological processes at different scales: from the individual level, through populations and communities to ecosystems. The ecological content will be studied in the context of the biodiversity crisis.
