הקורס מדגים את כל היישומים הבסיסיים בעיבוד תמונה: דיגיטציה, דחיסה, שחזור מדגימות והתמרות גאומטריות, זיהוי מטרה ורגיסטרציה, שיפור תמונה מטושטשת. מטרת הקורס: להקנות נסיון מעשי בעבודה עם שיטות עיבוד ספרתי של תמונות. הקורס משתמש בחבילת תוכנה לעיבוד תמונה המבוססת Matlab ודורש ידע בסיסי ב-Matlab.
Course description
The course covers all basic image processing application tasks: image digitization, compression, re-sampling and geometrical transformations, target location and image registration, image restoration, perfecting and enhancement. It is aimed at providing students with a deep experimental experience in using and implementation of digital image processing methods. The course uses a Matlab based image processing package and requires familiarity with the usage of Matlab.

Tasks
12 lab meetings (the participation is obligatory). The work is in pairs. After each lab the final report is submitted.
