The course incorporates six experiments covering a broad range of subjects in physical chemistry such as spectroscopy, electrochemistry and thermodynamics and kinetics. The experiments are designed to introduce the students to a variety of experimental techniques, and aims to achieve several goals:

• Preparation of procedures for carrying out experiments including safe laboratory practices
• Data measurement, analysis and calculation of errors
• Introduction to modern experimental equipment and techniques
• Correct presentation of written scientific reports
